The Lone Tree golf course, located about an hour east of San Francisco, is the perfect golf course for all skill levels. The huge, tree lined fairways and graciously placed bunkers make this course a one of kind. With minimal doglegs and zero water hazards, the course is perfect for long ball hitters. Overlooking a lake with elaborate houses dotting the nearby landscape, Lone Tree is a well-maintained public course. The reasonable green fees make Lone Tree one of the best values in the Bay Area.
The classic rolling hills design provides excellent definition between the fairways and rough. This par-72 course offers four sets of tees to challenge your skills.
Lone Tree is a well-known and well-praised golf course throughout the community. Servicing over 70,000 rounds of golf annually, this once remote area of the Delta is now becoming the newest haven for golfers in San Francisco. A professional staff led by PGA "Class A" Professionals, Matt Plumlee & Ron Parish provides superb services with quality sportsmanship.
Every hole is unique at Lone Tree. “The most challenging hole on the course would be No.1, a par-4 that is 407 yards from tee to pin. As with the majority of the holes on the course, there are not many hazards but No. 1 has a severe uphill slope to the green. Club selection is critical, and with a tree lined fairway, many a playoff has been decided by this popular hole.,” says Matt Plumlee, our head professional at Lone Tree, who has 25 years of professional experience.
Lone Tree's up-and-down character is typified by No. 14, which starts from an elevated tee, drops down to the fairway, then heads up again to an elevated green. This extra elevation provides outstanding landscape views of the surrounding holes and mountain-like terrain in the distance.
Lone Tree’s brand new event center has become the focal point of the course. The center provides a deck that overlooks the 18th green and the 10th tee. It consists of a full service bar and restaurant that is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The pro shop, located inside, provides a wide selection of golf fashion apparel, shoes, equipment and accessories. The center caters to banquets, weddings and parties and is currently taking reservations.
There is a driving range, putting green, and short game practice area with greenside bunkers to loosen up the swing muscles before you set out. For your added pleasure, Lone Tree also provides a beverage cart that dutifully patrols the course, and a phone located at the 9th and 18th to place your order with the grille.
